Galvanised
A metallurgical process that is used to coat steel or iron with zinc. This is done to prevent corrosion (specifically rusting) of the ferrous item.
GRAB HOOK
Grab Hooks are designed to snatch onto the chain laterally and are used primarily in load binding applications and are also becoming a cost effective way of shortening chain slings providing they are rated correctly and have wings either side of the clevis to fully support the chain to avoid any transverse or shear loadings on the chain link.
